I've Got the World on a . . . Chain

Cole is starting to play more actively with toys these days. He took particular interest in watching his mobile move as he pulled (read: batted arms uncontrollably with) the chain connected to it. After a little while, he seemed to realize that his arm movements were causing the mobile to move! Good work, buddy! 7/29/2011.

Power Outages = No Fun

Cole and Emma meet Colin Dean

Cole's newest friend, Colin Dean Fahrenkrog, arrived on July 12 to proud parents, Julie and Aaron! Cole and Emma were very excited to visit Abbott Northwestern Hospital, a place they know well, to welcome little Colin into this great big world. Colin is a complete bundle of joy and is very obviously the apple of his parents' eyes. Cole can't wait to teach him all of his baby tricks. 7/13/2011.

Cole, Meet Colin. Colin, Meet Cole.

There were many wonderful moments at the latest Diedrich family wedding, but one of the big highlights for us was introducing Cole to his cousin Colin. Colin is just about a year old, and he was very nice to his younger cousin, even offering him some peas. A little early, Colin, but we appreciate the thought. 7/7/2011.

Cole and Emma meet John William

Cole was very excited to meet his newest friend, John William Karlgaard! Sarah had quite the adventure in getting John here, but once all was said and done, the Karlgaards welcomed a beautiful baby boy into the world, and a very patriotic one to boot (born on the Fourth of July)! Cole's excited to meet his new friend, though now he's got some competition for Emma, which is kind of a bummer. Oh well--may the best man win! 7/6/2011.

Grandpa Bob Comes to Town!

Cole was so excited when he found out that Grandpa Bob was coming up to Minneapolis to visit over the holiday weekend! Grandpa was his usual helpful self (see previous post), but this time, he added babysitting to his repertoire. Cole sure loves his grandpa, and he misses him already! 7/4/2011.
