Tidying Up
Cole helps Mommy tidy up by moving Daddy's clothes from the floor to the laundry basket. Now if only Daddy would learn from Cole's example... 4/16/2014.
Soccer Star
Cole started soccer lessons at Bladium, a sports/exercise complex in the neighborhood. This summer, classes will move outdoors. But for now, Cole is enjoying learning some skills on the turf, including running fast, controlling the ball (with his feet and not his hands - a work in progress), and kicking goals. Most of the fun exercises involve imaginary play (think hot lava, oceans and outer space) and include righting fallen cones with his feet and kicking balls against the wall (to wake the hopefully-make-believe mouse who lives there). Cole wears his super awesome red running shoes to soccer class. (They help Mommy and Daddy pick him out from among the many other small "Cottontails" running around in blue "Lil Kickers" uniforms.) 4/12/2014.
Egg Hunt
Cole participated in a little neighborhood Easter egg hunt on the mews. He scored big and even shared some of his treasures with his neighbor friends! 4/6/2014.
Chasing Elephants
Elephant spotting at the Denver Zoo! Cole takes off to chase after him (from behind the fence, of course). 3/30/2014.
Big Brother
Big brother present! Mommy and Daddy found out today that we're having a baby brother (due to arrive in August)! We celebrated the exciting news with a present for the big brother-to-be: a little boy baby doll for Cole. He named him Baby Luka (after a friend from daycare who moved away), and is learning how to hold him and feed him his bottle. This is one awesome big brother in the making! 3/28/2014.
Chef Cole
Cole helped us make homemade pizza. He performed almost every step, from rolling the dough, to spreading the sauce, to adding the toppings, to gobbling it up. 3/27/2014.

Cole-dilocks
Someone's been sleeping in our bed . . . and he's still there! After (we thought) we put him down to bed, Cole sneaked into our bed without our knowing and decided to camp out (with Monkey and Lightning McQueen). 3/26/2014.
Ski Bum
Our little ski bum hit Breck with Auntie Chelsey while Mommy and Daddy chilled out on Main Street. He's thinking about going pro. 3/22/2014.
Happy Birthday to Daddy
And now Cole helps blow out the candles! (After playing the kazoo to accompany the rest of us singing "Happy Birthday" to Daddy.) 3/16/2014.
Floppy
Cole was still having fun at this point, but Mommy wasn't. This is where Cole decided he was done skiing and just wanted to act floppy in the snow (and not ski, and not walk, and not listen). Fun times, indeed. 3/1/2014.
More Slopes!
Cole went skiing with Mommy and Daddy at Eldora. Despite the treacherous drive up and a rocky (terrible-two's-style) start, we (ultimately) had a fun time! Cole also got to experience ice cream on a train and a carousel ride. 3/1/2014.
Sick Day
Cole spent a (kind of ) sick day home with Mommy. We stayed in our jammies and mostly just had fun. 2/25/2014.
Winter Park!
Cole had his very first *real* skiing experience in Winter Park with Auntie Chelsey and Cousin Danielle! He was a natural and had an absolute blast! Thanks, Cousin and Auntie! 2/15/2014.
I Only Have Eyes for You
The final product. Cole painted the paper, Mommy cut the hearts, Cole placed the eyes, and Mommy wrote "I only have eyes for you" on the backs. 2/9/2014.

National Anthem
Cole places his hand on his heart for the National Anthem, sung before the Super Bowl kick-off by opera star Renee Fleming. Sadly, the Broncos lost in epic fashion to the Seattle Seahawks. 2/2/2014.
Purple Mountain
He climbed to the top of the purple mountain and started waving his pom-pom, yelling, "Go Broncos! Go Broncos!" 1/26/2014.
Space Station
Cole and Caleb pushing random buttons in the space station exhibit at Wings Over the Rockies. (Don't worry -- it was supposed to be a hands-on exhibit.) 1/20/2014.
Up, Up and Away!
Cole at the Wings Over the Rockies museum. He loved examining the huge airplanes and even got to co-pilot a plane with his friend, Caleb. 1/20/2014.

Cole Skis!
Auntie Chelsey got Cole some cool skis for Christmas, and he was very excited to try them out as soon as the snow showed up. 1/4/2014.
Santa Delivers
Cole got a super cool Strider bike for Christmas. Guess Santa decided he was a good boy this year! 12/25/3013.
Cookies for Santa
And carrots for Rudolph. Cole kind of wanted to eat them (the cookies, not the carrots), but decided it was in his best interests to leave Santa a treat. 12/24/2013.
Eating with our Hands
Cole had his first experience with Moroccan food at Mataam Fez in Denver. He enjoyed eating all the delicious food with his hands. Then again, it wasn't far from his usual method of eating. (He still prefers his fingers to utensils most days.) Cole also enjoyed watching the belly dancer -- she danced with a sword! 12/4/2013.
Reflections in the Park
At Christmastime, the Lange family likes to drive through Murphy Park in Dubuque to see "Reflections in the Park," a big light display benefiting Hillcrest Family Services. Cole got to enjoy the lights, too, this year! 11/30/2013.
Bobpa at Work
One of the highlights of our trip to Iowa for Thanksgiving was a trip to Bobpa's fire station. Cole brought his very own fire helmet along and got a tour of the truck and the entire station. Bobpa even turned the firetruck lights on! 11/29/2013.
Kitty House
Kitty (a stuffed animal that lives at Gramma and Bobpa's house) is not pictured, but this is the genesis of the "Kitty House" (now Cole's name for pretty much any fort made of blankets and pillows). We visited Gramma and Bobpa for the Thanksgiving holiday, and building little houses for Kitty (and for Cole) became one of Cole's favorite activities. 11/28/2013.
Sesame Street Live - Elmo Makes Music!
Cole and his friend Phoebe got to see Elmo and all his friends sing and dance on stage! Cole was mesmerized the entire time. 11/23/2013.
Bones
Dinosaur bones at the Denver Museum of Science and Nature. Cole's favorite is the T-Rex. He likes to walk around with his arms drawn in, chanting, "I'm a T-Rex, I'm a T-Rex!" 11/10/2013.
