Swaddled Baby

Here, William sleeps in his crib. We must have moved him from our bedroom to the nursery by now! He prefers his arms free, and his little flails don't seem to bother him much, so we started to swaddle him with arms out. 9/11/2014.

Science

Cole wanted to know what would happen if we put a blue corn chip in water, so we did this science experiment. His hypothesis: The chip would turn white. The result: It did. (Well, more like a shade of grey, but close enough.) 9/8/2014.

Playdoh

It took every last bit of Mommy's willpower to resist directing Cole against mixing the colors and just let his creativity flow. The result, in spite of Mommy's skyrocketing blood pressure, was this ... creation. 9/7/2014.

Anniversary Wine

Auntie Chelsey gifted a glorious bottle of wine to Mommy and Daddy on their wedding day. It was a very special bottle -- one meant to age in perfect time for their 5th wedding anniversary. So Mommy and Daddy decided to take it to a nice restaurant to enjoy over a lovely dinner. But, sadly, they hadn't done their research and didn't know that the corkage laws are different here in Colorado from what they knew in Minnesota! What to do? Uncork it in the alley to enjoy with a few dear friends (one of whom is a wine expert and gave a whole tutorial)! Who says fancy wine must be drunk in fancy clothes and in a fancy place?! 9/6/2014.

Football Season

One Month Old!

A whole month old?! And where did our itty baby go? This guy has been eating and growing like a champ. As you can see, Guido can barely hold him! At a month, William's favorite things include milk and Mommy. He still wakes up a number of times during the night, but sleeps often (like, most of the time, just not always the convenient times). He is a calm, quiet (except when he's sleeping -- he is a noisy sleeper!), sweet baby, and the whole family just loves him to pieces. We'll keep him. 9/4/2014.
